I am an advocate for rural community and economic development. Educated in both creative writing and law, I have a keen interest in the stories we tell about ourselves and about each other, and the ways law is used - and sometimes abused - by powerful storytellers.
My community is global and hyperlocal, geeky and grounded, Afrofuturist and pastoral, parental and young-at-heart.
I adore living in rural Central Washington, and I would gladly sacrifice my asparagus bed for local Dim Sum, bulgogi or the flavors of my late grandma's southern cooking.
My love for memes - as a genre for wise vignettes and the occasional snark - runs deep and true.
